Houses

At Seek the Horizon, we believe that homes are the most important entity that a person can have. With this idea in mind, Seek the Horizon helps construct houses for others. Partnering with Habitat for Humanity, Seek the Horizon helps construct homes for low income families each year.

This past December, Seek the Horizon separated planks from the dried concrete by removing nails and excess concrete. Volunteers also helped erect a house by laying the foundation and building the basic structure of the house. When construction ended, four families were blessed with brand new, fully furnished homes.

In May 2007, Seek the Horizon began work on a second project with Habitat for Humanity. Volunteers got a chance to work on construction of sewer trenches and the house's foundation. Volunteers used electric tools supplied by Seek the Horizon and minors used shovels to carefully dig into the ground. Though the project is far from being completed, Seek the Horizon plans to continually assist the construction of the home in Alameda, California.
